Kitchen Designs

The same space 3 ways + 3 tips for finding your style balance between classic and on trend.

Designing a kitchen that you will love, with or without professional advice can be tough. As you begin researching a new kitchen you will find so many styles and trends that will influence what you like.

We would like to share a few principles to keep in mind, to help filter the information overload and save you time and money.

What you love will always be timeless

If something makes you feel great, and you know that when you step into that space it will bring you joy, then whether it is on trend or out of fashion should not hold too much power when making your choices. So don’t be shy about what you are drawn too.

A professional designer can help you integrate those features into a design that is balanced, cohesive and fitting for the wider home.

Styles can (and should) be mixed

From both a function and a design perspective, often it’s a mix of styles that will provide the most successful client outcome. Different styles will hold different meaning and memory for each of us, and connecting to our preferences can help bring an extra special feeling to a space.

Researching the era of the house can be a handy starting point

Knowing what decade your house was built and finding ways to pay homage to that era can be a great starting point for a holistic design scheme that can extend throughout your house.
